Ashes of Creation will feature both static and dynamic types of seasons and weather. Zones will experience seasons based on their location in the world. There will be crop cycles that will respond to seasons. Travel can also be affected. For example, a road that is open from spring to autumn may have to close in the winter due to heavy snows or other weather-related difficulties. Lakes that are normally accessible during the rest of the year, may be frozen over when temperatures drop. 

The developer goal for Ashes of Creation is to make the game as immersive as possible, making the environment feel like a living, breathing world that reacts to the players and their activities.

Weather Events[]

Specific events will have weather/seasons associated with them. An example of that is a Node that has evolved to stage four and is eligible for a catastrophic event. Something like a Winter Dragon attacks the Node, bringing with it an 'eternal winter'. If the dragon is not destroyed, the winter remains.
